1. Where exactly is Port Canaveral Florida and how far is Port Canaveral from Orlando Airport(MCO)?
Port Canaveral is in Cape Canaveral, Florida which is near Cocoa Beach, Kennedy Space Center, and a 1 hours drive (60 miles) from Orlando International Airport (nearest major airport). It is on the east coast of Florida.
2. I’m unsure whether to fly in the day before or to arrive the same day as the ship sails and where would you recommend we stay if we fly in the night before?
It is best to arrive in the morning of your cruise or the day before. There are many places to stay within 5 or 10 minutes of Port Canaveral, some of which are on the beach. It is better to stay closer to the Port than 60 miles away in Orlando because you'll be pressed for time and have to rush. We can take you there the day before and bring you back to the airport when you get off your ship.
3. If we decided to fly in the day of the cruise, by what time should we arrive at Orlando International Airport?
You should arrive between 10:00 am and noon. Most ships sail at 4 - 5 PM therefore a 2:00 PM arriving flight is cutting it rather close. Port Canaveral is about an hours drive from the Orlando International Airport (MCO) and considerations should be made for possible flight delays, accidents, traffic on the highway, or other delays between your airplane and your cruise cabin. Limo Orlando Transportation service aims to make your trip to your cruise ship as smooth and luxurious as possible while still offering you a great value!
4. Where should we meet the driver at the airport and coming back from the cruise ship?
The easiest and most convenient way to meet your chauffeur is to get your bags at baggage claim, go down the nearest escalator and directly out side to curbside pickup (express lane for limos). Other service options include meet and greet airport service, however with this option you must walk across the street to the parking garage which can be time consuming. Many passengers prefer to skip the meet and greet at baggage claim and go directly to the express lane to meet the limo and get on the road!
5. Do we get a better rate if we book online, by phone, or round trip ?
Our rates are designed to be very competitive no matter how you book your service. There will be no penalization for booking by phone, online, or one way. The choice is up to you. However, there are some advantages to booking online such as receiving a confirmation within 48 hours to carry with you while traveling with detailed itinerary , total charges, driver "Meet & Greet" procedures and contact information. You can always request that a confirmation be e-mailed to you if you feel more comfortable making your reservations by phone.
6. Does your company require a credit card for reservations and how do we pay for the service?
We require a credit card on file for all of our reservations. You may pay with cash upon pickup or with a credit card. (Credit card payments must be arranged ahead of time)
7.Can you pick us up from a hotel near Disney first, then Lake Buena Vista and then to the Orlando airport?
Yes we can! There is an extra fee for the extra stop. Check the rates page or give us a call!
8. If we are staying at a hotel near the airport on the day of the cruise what time should we leave for Port Canaveral?
Usually 9 AM - Noon is the recommended window for departing. Please allow extra time in case there is a delay on the freeway.
9.We’re arriving on the same day of our cruise at the Orlando International Airport but at different times. How do you handle multiple arrivals?
The lowest price option is to have everyone ready with their bags and to schedule the vehicle pickup. Another option would be to rent the vehicle by the hour until everyone has arrived. This would allow you to view the local attractions while waiting for the rest of your party.
10.We have an early flight on the way back home after the cruise and we’re worried about not making our flight on time. Do you have any suggestions as to how we can make sure to exit the ship in a timely manner?
You should notify your cruise line customer care dept and they can help make sure you are promptly escorted off the boat. Be sure to let us know your flight information time and have a contact phone number for your airline in case you need it. We recommend allowing plenty of time to catch your flight!
